This is a big one for the Air Force crew—long before there was the concept of collaborations and bots it was shoes like the 'Linen' AF1 which dominated sneaker wishlists.
Originally released in 2001, the 'Linen' Air Force 1 was one of a few iconic colourways which were produced exclusively for Japan—colloquially known as a "CO.JP". These shoes garnered near-mythical status when people travelling would bring back never-before seen colours of the hottest sneaker silhouette on the street.
Of all the CO.JP versions the 'Linen' reigned supreme, thanks to the glowing support of people like Jay-Z and his touring partner DJ Clark Kent. Their beige uppers and signature pink accents were in stark contrast to the standard bold colourways which were often seen state-side.
Often lauded and rarely seen, the Linen Air Force 1 returns for 2024 to give a luckly few a shot at owning a legend.
